Trebinje is the winner of numerous important domestic and international awards, which are a confirmation of the successful development and affirmation of the city. Among the award winners are the city of Trebinje itself, the Tourist Organization, the Herzegovina House, the Tvrdoš Monastery and numerous business entities.

Every recognition, whether local or global character is significant for our city and below we bring you some of the most prominent ones.

Last year, the city of Trebinje was declared the best sustainable destination "Iter Vitis", with an award in the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela as part of the "Iter Vitis" General Assembly, a cultural trail of the Council of Europe, and as part of the "Herzegovina Wine Route" project. On that occasion, the Tvrdoš monastery was also awarded for the best practice in the promotion of cultural and historical heritage and wine.

Trebinje is the winner of the first place in the international competition "Green Destinations Award - Top 100 stories of sustainable tourist destinations" at the ITB tourism fair in Berlin, where the City of Trebinje, Herzeg House and local agricultural producers were awarded.

With the help of USAID and applying for the "Good Practice Story Award" competition, which was organized in Athens at the "Green Destinations 2022 & Future of Tourism Summit" in October 2022, the great story about sustainable development "Orjen Nature Park - a protected area in the service of improving the tourist offer and sustainable development" was included in the Top 100 stories of sustainable development.

Then there is the first award for "Best Promotional Video in the Region" for 2019, created by the Tourism Organization of the City of Trebinje. "The International Tourism Film Festival - Stars of Wild Beauty" awarded the prize.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina awarded the Tourist Organization the award "Star of BiH Tourism for 2019" in the category of tourist organizations.

Cultural Center Trebinje, according to the portal Indikator.ba, was awarded the award for the best move in tourism in BiH in the summer season of 2019 for the opening of a revitalized dock on the Trebišnjica River as part of the cross-border project "Life on the border of BiH / Montenegro - old paths of the timeless heritage and traditions".

One of the most widely circulated magazines in BiH, the newspaper "Dnevni avaz" from Sarajevo, awarded the city of Trebinje the "Tourist Pearl 2018" in the category of 60 cities and municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Trebinje is the holder of the "Brand Leader 2017 Award" awarded at the business conference "SEET 2017" under the title "Tourist Market of Southeast Europe".

Numerous Trebinje wineries are winners of a large number of significant awards, and the Tvrdoš and Anđelić wineries have won prestigious Decanter awards on a couple of occasions.

The offer of the city of Trebinje has been present for decades at a large number of international fairs, where many business entities have won notable recognitions and awards.
