If you would like to see how people live today in Herzegovinian villages, we recommend visiting one of the rural households in the area around the city.

In a pleasant rural environment and far from the city's hustle and bustle, you will be greeted by friendly hosts with a glass of conversation and rakija. Quality homemade food prepared according to traditional recipes with a drop of good homemade wine will satisfy even the most demanding gourmets.

However, what leaves nobody indifferent is the experience of staying on a farm where, if you wish and depending on the season, you can try your hand at farming - land cultivation, haymaking, fruit picking, traditional food preparation and so on.

You can complete your stay at rural households with walking or cycling tours around the area, while some households offer the possibility of recreational horseback riding.

Currently, there are three registered rural households in the Trebinje area with different contents and accommodation capacities, and plans are underway to expand this number.

The Kisin rural household is located on the Trebinje-Herceg Novi main road, in the village of Tuli, about ten kilometers from the city. The farm includes a summer house, a tasting room, five bungalows, and a parking space that can accommodate buses. In addition to accommodation and quality food, they offer various activities suitable for both individual tourists and organized groups.

The Laković rural household is located in the village of Ljubomir 18 km from the city. Although with small accommodation capacities of only 4 beds, it offers a rich range of activities on the farm and its immediate surroundings.

The Šišić rural household, located in the village of Strujići in Popovo Polje, is 45 km from Trebinje. The Šišić family, for generations, has been engaged in growing mostly autochthonous varieties of cereals, grapevines, fruit, and vegetables, as well as beekeeping. In addition to food from their own cultivation, they offer various handicrafts that they make themselves. The household is suitable for holding art colonies, small shows or outdoor summer movies on the old stone terrace, while sports enthusiasts can enjoy themselves on the small sports field.
